After 17 years, the 2009 Men’s Club World Championship will once again take place starting Tuesday with the Qatar capital of Doha hosting the competition at the Aspire Zone indoor hall from November 3-8, when clubs from around the world compete for the crown of best club in the world.
Pool A comprises of the European Champions League Champion, Trentino Betclic, the 1st European team in the CEV rankings, Zenit Kazan, the NORCECA representative Plataneros de Corozal of Puerto Rico and the African champion Zamalek. Pool B features the second best European team PGE Skra Belchatow of Poland, Asian Club Championship winner Paykan of Iran, South American champion Cimed of Brazil and the organizer Al Arabi Doha of Qatar.
